SELPHYL® is a patented system for the safe and rapid preparation of Platelet Rich Fibrin Matrix (PRFM), a proven technology that Dr.Prasad is using to correct the effects of skin aging. The Dr.Prasad collects a small volume of blood from the patient and through a patented process, separates and concentrates the patients own platelets and fibrin into a matrix. SELPHYL®PRFM, when injected, mimics the body’s natural wound healing response. How Selphyl® Works

SELPHYL® PRFM does have some limitations. It does require a small amount of blood to be drawn. There is a small amount of swelling for the first 3-6 hours after treatment. There is some mild “deflation” over the first 1-2 weeks, but after this the effects are relatively stable. Many patients will need more than one treatment, generally 3-4 weeks apart. What is the Selphyl process?
